How to in Blackboard: Automatically create wiki page for every enrolled student in course

I have a large class 400+ and one of the assessment tasks to complete a reflective journal as a wiki.

I need to set up a wiki page for each student. Anyone with a recommendation of how to?

Re: How to in Blackboard: Automatically create wiki page for every enrolled student in course

Hi Terry,

My understanding of wikis is that the instructor creates a wiki, students can add wiki pages and comments. It's a collaborative tool. Backboard can't automatically create a wiki for each student.

Groups have their own collaboration tools including wikis. I may be more efficient to manage a groups wiki, where members can contribute and create their own wiki pages.

First source should be Blackboard Help, WIKI, see: https://en-us.help.blackboard.com/Learn/9.1_2014_04/Instructor/080_Collaboration/020_Wikis

RMIT Blackboard site has some useful information on wikis, see:

If you are considering grading the content, a journal may be more appropriate, see: https://en-us.help.blackboard.com/Learn/9.1_2014_04/Instructor/080_Collaboration/040_Journals

Speaking to the Academic Development group rep would be helpful. They can advise you on pedagogy and how best to achieve learning outcomes using collaborate tools. See: http://www1.rmit.edu.au/bus/adg

Hope this has been of some use.

Re: How to in Blackboard: Automatically create wiki page for every enrolled student in course

Thanks Joe. My issue is that for my large course (350+), I want them to create an individual reflective journal on an ongoing basis throughout the semester. I want it be composed of alot of different resources, like graphics, videos, photos, and text. I have used a wiki before for a small class and this works really well.

Joe do you have any other recommendation or work around so that I can make this work for a large class.
