Canvas does not have an account for user

Hello I would really appreciate some help here.

I have just enrolled into an online short course a few hours ago which launches tomorrow. As I'm a new RMIT student this has meant I have just been created a new student account and student ID and when trying to log into canvas to see the files I will have to navigate this week I am receiving the following error message:

Canvas does not have an account for user: O282450326

You may try to log in again.

The log in again button does not help and I just return to the same issue. Please advise & thank you.

Hi,  I had the same issue.  Contacted the IT Help desk.  Apparently you need to wait 24 hours after your enrolment to have access to Canvas. So I suggest you check tomorrow if it works.
