When composing a message in Outlook 2016, you can type in part of a name on the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: lines and press Ctrl-K to search for matches

Press Ctrl-K to search for names matching that pattern and the following result is displayed.

Note that the staff member's email adress is shown in the 7th column, headed E-mail Address.

However if the Ctrl-K search only returns a single name, it will appear as an underlined name, without the email address.

This has been a known issue with Microsoft, with no current setting in Outlook to allow display of the email address instead.

For results from the Ctrl-K search:
- When one match is found, the name has a solid underline.
- When more than one possible match exist you’ll see a red wavy underline. Right click on it to choose an address.
- When more than one match exists for a name you’ve used before, Outlook resolves to the last name used and uses a green dotted line to alert you that other possibilities exist. Right click to see the other addresses
