Locate you gmail templates
gmail Canned Responses are the equivalent of message Templates in Outlook. If you have one or more Canned Responses, you can copy and paste the text from each of these into new Outlook Templates.
1. In Compose mode in gmail, click the More options arrow at the bottom right of the message.
2. Click Canned responses to see a list of your gmail templates.
3. Select one of the templates from the Insert list and copy the body text. This can be pasted later into an Outlook template.
Create an email template in Outlook 2016
1. Create a New Email. In the message body, enter the content that you want within the template. If you had an existing gmail template, paste the template content here.
2. In the message window, click File > Save As
3. Select Outlook Template (*.odt) from the Save as type: options
4. In the File name: box, type a name for your template and then click Save
NOTE: By default, your templates are saved locally to
C:\Users\<YourEnumber>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\*.oft
eg. C:\Users\e04188\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\*.oft
How to use an email template in Outlook 2016
1. In Outlook click Home > New Items > More Items > Choose Form...
2. Select User Templates in File System from the Look In: menu
3. Select the template and click Open
How to create an email template in OWA
1. Click New Email and then click the My Templates icon at the bottom right of the new message.
2. Click + Template
There are three default templates.
3. Type a title for your template, and then type the content in the body text box. Click Save.
NOTE: Templates in OWA can contain text only and are saved in the cloud, not your local device.
How to use an email template in OWA
1. Click the My Templates icon at the bottom right of the new message.
2. Click the desired template from the template list. The template contents will be copied to the body of your message.
