Connecting a Raspberry Pi or other unsupported devices/operating systems you have to RMIT's Wi-Fi networks? These settings will get you started.

 

RMIT-University

 

  • SSID:                                            RMIT-University
  • Security type:                                WPA2-Enterprise
  • Encryption type:                             AES
  • Authentication method:                   Protected EAP (PEAP)
  • Phase 2 (Inner) Authentication:        MSCHAP v2
  • Trusted Root Certification Authority: QuoVadis Root CA 2
  • Username:                                     RMIT staff or student number with prefixes 'e' or 's' respectively
  • Password:                                     Same Central Authentication System (CAS) password as for
                                                        myRMIT, library, website logins.

 

Eduroam

 

  • SSID:                                            Eduroam
  • Security type:                                WPA2-Enterprise
  • Encryption type:                             AES
  • Authentication method:                   TTLS
  • Phase 2 (Inner) Authentication:        PAP
  • Trusted Root Certification Authority: QuoVadis Global SSL ICA G2
  • Username:                                     Staff/student login from participating institutions follow by '@'
                                                         and domain suffix (rmit.edu.au for RMIT users)
  • Password:                                      Password associated with home institution account with
                                                         username
