Senior representatives from leading Australian universities, TAFE institutes, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), schools, consultancies and companies attended the Australia Week in China (AWIC) Education Stream, held in Shenyang and Shanghai from Monday 11 to Friday 15 April.

The AWIC Education Stream attracted decision makers from Australia’s Department of Education and Training and China’s Ministry of Education, to explore bilateral cooperation in education, with various sessions focusing on the Chinese education market, and links between human capital and industry skill development requirements.

Victorian education providers were very active at AWIC events, and were supported by Education Service Managers who attended on behalf of Study Melbourne.

A particular highlight was an informative presentation about the new trends of the study abroad market in China, given by Board Chairman and General Manager from New Oriental Vision Abroad, Mr Zhou Chenggang.
