At RMIT, we take into account any previous academic studies that are relevant to your enrolment. Studies you have completed prior to commencing with us may count towards your award, through recognition of prior learning (RPL), recognition of current competency (RCC), or credit transfer. When the College assesses your application for your previous studies to be acknowledged, we provide you with a formal outcome. You then have the right to dispute this outcome, by lodging an appeal against a Credit Transfer / RPL / RCC decision.

However, sometimes things don't go to plan, and you end up with a final result that is below what you expected to receive. As an RMIT student, you have the right to dispute your final assessment result for any course you complete, in certain circumstances.
