Staff and students working in Building 8 may start to notice some vibration impacts as works on levels 3 and 4 get underway. These works include the installation of steel to strengthen slabs and the movement of bobcat excavators as preparation starts for the removal of the concrete ramp.
These impacts are similar to those in Buildings 10, 12 and 14 when the same types of works were underway. These works have been reviewed by the site engineer and there is no risk to building occupants. A monitoring device will also be placed in Building 8, level 8 as well. Impacts will continue intermittently throughout next month.
