RMIT Connect is moving

With stage three works starting soon, from Monday 21 November RMIT Connect will be temporarily relocated to Building 28, level 3, where the 24-7 student lab is currently located. The Student Computer Lab will move to Building 8, level 7. RMIT Connect will move into its new home in early 2017.

ScienceP.jpgDaniel Oldfield, a final year PhD candidate in Applied Physics, has drawn on his expertise as a microscopist to create unique pieces of art.

 

His work features microscopic objects such as gold particles, coral reef, marine animal shells and pollen among others enlarged to a sized which portrays interesting shapes, textures and patterns.

GillespieP.jpgAn artwork created almost entirely out of recycled signage has been installed in the Building 12 level 4 lift lobby at RMIT’s City campus.

 

Part of the Urban Animators public art program, RMIT alumnus artist Chris Bold was challenged to produce an artwork out of 95 per cent recycled materials.
