Hi!
I am unable to conect to the wifi on my phone. Both, RMIT University and RMIT Support, i can't enter my User ID or password. When i try to connect, it doesn't go beyond " Obtaining IP Address "
I've been trying for two days now but in vain.
Kindly help me with the same.
Thank you
Junaid

Hi @Junaid
Another thing which can sometimes help is to tell your phone to "Forget the network".
I'm not sure what kind of phone you're using, but here are the steps for iPhone:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to WiFi
3. in the WiFi list, tap on the blue "i" (info) icon
4. Tap on "Forget this network"
Once this is done, try again to search for and connect to RMIT-University. Any incorrect settings which had been stuck in there will be gone, and the connection should begin from scratch.
Let me know how this goes, or if you need steps for a different model of phone.

Re: WiFi
Hi @Junaid
Thanks for posting!
Generally the "obtaining IP address" message should be the last step before the device connects to the network. It's also worth noting that the RMIT Support network doesn't require a username or password to connect (as it provides no internet access anyway), so any device should be able to at least connect to it as a test.
If your device still won't connect, it's probably best to bring it an IT Servcie Point on campus and one of our staff can take a look:
Swanston Academic Building (SAB) – Building 80 Level 3 - Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Saturday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Re: WiFi
I 'forgot the network' and then it started working for me.
